Acceptable-Use Policy
This Acceptable-Use Policy (AUP) governs your use of PLMgpt and any other interactive service made available by PLMadvisors. By using these services, you agree to the terms below.
Last updated: July 1, 2026
1. Purpose
PLMgpt is provided by PLMadvisors as an informational assistant for topics related to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), new product development, innovation, configuration management, modularization, digital transformation, and related disciplines. It is intended to support professional exploration and learning, not to replace qualified advisory, engineering, or legal counsel.
2. Permitted use
You may use PLMgpt to:
- Ask questions and explore ideas related to PLM, NPD, AI, and adjacent topics.
- Draft, summarize, and refine your own professional content.
- Learn about frameworks, methods, and industry practices.
3. Prohibited use
You must not use PLMgpt or any PLMadvisors service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Submit personal data, personally identifiable information, protected health information, payment data, trade secrets, or other confidential information — whether your own, your employer's, or a third party's.
- Generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence or self-harm.
- Attempt to identify, profile, or make consequential decisions about individuals (employment, credit, insurance, legal status, etc.).
- Develop, train, or benchmark competing AI models, or extract, scrape, or redistribute the service's outputs at scale.
- Reverse engineer, probe, or interfere with the service, bypass rate limits or access controls, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system.
- Introduce malware, conduct security testing without written permission, or use the service to attack any system or network.
- Misrepresent generated output as human-authored where doing so would be deceptive or unlawful.
4. No professional advice
PLMgpt outputs are provided for general informational purposes only and are offered on an "as-is" basis without warranties of any kind. The service can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it for business, technical, legal, financial, or other consequential decisions. For engagements requiring qualified advice, please contact PLMadvisors directly.
5. Your content and inputs
You are responsible for the prompts and content you submit and must have the necessary rights to do so. Do not submit information you are not authorized to share. Conversations may be used to improve PLMgpt. On the free tier, conversations are not stored beyond what is required to operate the service.
6. Rate limits and availability
PLMadvisors enforces per-user rate limits to keep the service available for everyone and may adjust limits, suspend features, or discontinue the service at any time. Attempts to circumvent limits — including through multiple accounts or automation — are prohibited.
7. Intellectual property
The PLMgpt interface, the PLMadvisors brand, and the underlying software are the property of PLMadvisors and its licensors. You retain rights to your own inputs. Because AI-generated output may not be eligible for copyright protection in every jurisdiction, you are responsible for reviewing outputs before any downstream use.
8. Enforcement
PLMadvisors may investigate suspected violations of this policy and take any action it considers appropriate, including warning users, throttling or revoking access, removing content, and cooperating with law-enforcement or legal processes.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
