Senior Configuration Management Specialist
An experienced professional is sought to design and implement Configuration Management (CM) documentation and procedures. This role will serve as the primary interface for administering the CM PLM tool, authorizing the release of drawings and changes as directed by program or engineering management. The specialist will provide expert advice and guidance on CM methods, procedures, and requirements to those responsible for documentation creation. The position involves developing and maintaining CM plans, processes, and procedures to ensure product identification and maintainability.

Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop CM and other PLM Process Workflows.
- Develop project plans, provide technical oversight, design, implement, test, and maintain configuration workflows for CM products.
- Respond to general questions regarding policies and procedures.
- Support external audits such as CMMI, ISO/AQAP Audit Representation.
- Construct CM Plans and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documents.
- Schedule, conduct, and document CM activities such as configuration control board, CM audits, and problem report review meetings.
- Support engineering and program management through facilitation of initial releases and engineering changes.
- Ensure conformance of delivered software and hardware configuration items (CIs) to product development plans, statement of work, contractual requirements, and CM plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Prior experience using and administering a PLM tool or CAD tool.
- Configuration Management Professional Certification (e.g., NDIA CDM, CMPIC, ICM CMII) is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Agile PLM application or Siemens Teamcenter PLM application is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of one or more CM practices, processes, and standards: EIA-649B, EIA-649-1, MIL-HDBK-61A, ANSI Drawing Standards, ISO, CMMI, and ISO 9001 is preferred.
- Well-organized with good communication skills.
- Working or expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite tools.
- Ability to multitask and interact with customer functions, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
