CAD Data Migration Architect

A global technology services provider is seeking a CAD Data Migration Architect to lead the transition of legacy data into a Teamcenter environment. The successful candidate will oversee the entire migration lifecycle, from initial source analysis through to validated production loads. Responsibilities

  • Define migration strategy and architecture for metadata and NX CAD data into Teamcenter
  • Analyze legacy source systems to assess data quality, completeness, and cleanup requirements
  • Map legacy metadata to the target Teamcenter data model and maintain documentation
  • Design ETL processes for items, revisions, datasets, BOM structures, and NX assemblies
  • Execute mock migrations, resolve load errors, and perform performance tuning
  • Define validation and reconciliation methods to ensure post-load data integrity
  • Plan and support production cutover activities
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders during data and design sessions

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Migration Architect within PLM environments
  • Deep technical knowledge of Teamcenter data models and NX CAD data structures
  • Expertise in designing extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
  • Experience managing complex BOM structures and CAD assembly relationships during migration
  • Ability to perform data quality assessments and define cleanup strategies
  • Strong documentation skills for migration designs and procedures
  • Experience with mock migration cycles and performance optimization
  • Ability to lead technical discussions with stakeholders
