Environmental Test Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute environmental tests, including vibration, tensile, gluing, thermal, and TVAC tests.
  • Acquire, process, analyze, and interpret test data.
  • Elaborate test specifications and procedures in accordance with standards and requirements.
  • Maintain and coordinate the upkeep of test equipment.
  • Extend test facility capabilities and build new test setups.
  • Prepare and finalize required documentation for certification, production, or knowledge conservation.
  • Provide testing input to design and project teams and communicate with external partners.

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant hands-on experience in environmental testing, especially thermal and thermal-vacuum testing.
  • Proven ability to develop and operate complex test beds and automated test setups.
  • Practical experience with LabVIEW for test automation and data acquisition.
  • Experience with data handling, analysis, and process development.
  • Foundational knowledge of electronics for troubleshooting test setups is highly beneficial.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a hands-on, creative problem-solving mindset.
  • Python skills are a plus.
