Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the configuration of critical projects, ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of Product Data, including Parts and Bills of Materials (BoMs).
- Perform and lead comprehensive audits and verification of product configurations for compliance.
- Lead the preparation and documentation required for product structure and configuration management.
- Direct the configuration change management process, including evaluating, implementing, and tracking complex changes.
- Collaborate with executive management, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
- Maintain and manage comprehensive records and documentation related to configuration management activities.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance configuration management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in configuration management or a related field within the aerospace and defense industry.
- Expert proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and configuration management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and superior documentation skills.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Ability to lead a team of Configuration Analysts.
- Thorough understanding of Documentation Control Database systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
