Senior PLM Development Systems Engineer
This role involves leading projects, system enhancements, and portfolio support for digital product management systems within a global manufacturing organization. Responsibilities
- Supervise tools and processes within the Digital Product Management (DPM) team.
- Define and monitor system and application support metrics to ensure quality and performance.
- Coach junior engineers in providing support for assigned solutions.
- Lead the implementation of next-generation CAD and PLM tools and processes.
- Lead medium-complexity projects and contribute technically to large/global initiatives.
- Develop 1-3 year strategy and roadmap for future DPM functionality with business units.
- Present DPM Platform portfolio roadmaps to secure project funding.
- Identify opportunities for enterprise-wide sharing and utilization of CAD and PLM tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (IT, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, or similar STEM field).
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Expert knowledge in at least two of: product design/manufacturing principles (Design, BOM, Specification, Testing), Enterprise PLM Applications (DS 3DExperience, ARAS Innovator, Siemens Teamcenter or similar), or Mechanical engineering principles.
- Working knowledge in at least two of: Computer Operating systems, database/application administration, programming skills (C/C++/C#, Visual Basic/Java, Python scripting), DevSecOps framework fundamentals, or Agile software development methods.
- General knowledge across the Product Development Lifecycle (PLM) and DPM practices.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing or verbally, adapting style to audience.
- Proficiency in Project Management.
- Ability to proactively practice cross-region interpersonal communication.
