PLM Data Migration Expert

A global technology services and consulting firm is seeking an experienced PLM Data Migration Expert to support large-scale PLM migration initiatives for its clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in a specific PLM system's data structures, SQL/PLSQL development, and the full data migration lifecycle. Responsibilities

  • Analyze PLM data structures (Items, BOMs, Changes, AML, FileVault) to design extraction solutions.
  • Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, and SDK-based extraction scripts for high-volume data migration.
  • Implement revision-based extraction strategies to capture complete historical data.
  • Perform data profiling, validation, completeness checks, and defect analysis.
  • Manage FileVault data extraction, including attachments and metadata.
  • Support data staging, transformation, and mapping activities.
  • Participate in mock migrations, dry runs, UAT cycles, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure data alignment and migration success.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with PLM Data Migration projects.
  • Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and SDK-based development.
  • Hands-on experience with a specific PLM system's schema structures (Item, BOM, Change, AML, FileVault).
  • Experience in Data Quality Management, Validation, and Data Governance.
  • Knowledge of revision history extraction and migration methodologies.
  • Experience supporting UAT, mock runs, production cutovers, and migration testing.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
  • Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication abilities.
