Senior Bill of Materials Administrator
A global automotive OEM is seeking a Senior Bill of Materials Administrator to manage and administer regional and global engineering drawings and manufacturing design revision issuance. This role involves developing, configuring, managing, and verifying technical data within the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) through the execution of engineering design changes and manufacturing revisions. The administrator will support manufacturing plants by implementing manufacturing instructions and engineering changes accurately and efficiently. The position is critical for successful new model launches and mass production operations, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency in the engineering change management process.

Responsibilities
- Manage engineering technical records and project information related to design changes and BOM updates within the system.
- Review engineering drawings and validate part hierarchy, structure changes, application settings, quantities, and effective dates.
- Interpret regional and global supply agreements to ensure accurate data distribution to manufacturing plants.
- Configure and maintain vehicle applications, feature lists, and component combinations.
- Support supplier and factory instruction issuance through change-point management and VIN tracking.
- Coordinate design change approvals and ensure timely, sequential implementation of engineering revisions.
- Analyze verification reports to confirm data accuracy and support approvals, customer communication, and production readiness.
- Ensure design and manufacturing BOM changes are released on schedule for new model launches and mass production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- 0 to 4 years of experience in Part Drawing Control, Engineering Change Management, or a related field.
- Experience in Supply Chain, Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar manufacturing operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) and Parts List validation processes.
- Understanding of Specification Notice procedures, including Design Change (DC) and Manufacturing Instruction (MI) issuance and management.
- Familiarity with engineering standards and documentation practices.
- Working knowledge of CAD systems (e.g., CATIA).
- Understanding of new model development and launch processes.
