Permanent Position · Senior
Senior Industrialisation Engineer
A fast-growing electric transport company is seeking a hands-on engineer to bridge the gap between R&D and mass manufacturing for battery packs and charger product lines. The role focuses on electro-mechanical process optimization to transform functional prototypes into robust, high-yield, and scalable series products. You will collaborate closely with external contract manufacturers to co-architect manufacturing lines and advise on critical assembly fixtures. This position is ideal for an execution-driven professional ready to take ownership of the product lifecycle immediately following the initial prototype phase.

Responsibilities
- Review designs following prototype runs to eliminate mechanical tolerance stack-ups and assembly risks.
- Optimize the design, sourcing, and validation of mechanical assembly jigs and laser-welding beds.
- Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers to release assembly line setups and resolve technical bottlenecks.
- Conduct hands-on Design of Experiments to establish process windows for automated gluing and dispensing.
- Co-own build failures with manufacturers to drive engineering adjustments and optimize first-pass yields.
- Oversee End-of-Line (EoL) failures, analyze root causes, and implement solutions to improve yield.
- Transition pilot runs into high-yield mass production environments.
- Audit and challenge the work of external industrialization teams to ensure quality standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Industrialization, Manufacturing, or NPI (New Product Introduction).
- Proven track record scaling up battery modules, power electronics, or electromechanical systems.
- Expertise in mechanical production processes and failure analysis in semi-automated environments.
- Strong ability to navigate, interpret, and evaluate 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Hands-on mentality with experience in prototype labs or shop floor assembly and teardowns.
- Strong capability to coordinate complex technical tasks across internal teams and external manufacturers.
- Ability to translate technical failure data into actionable engineering changes.
- Experience driving scale-up to volumes of 10k-30k units.
