System Test Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop a test strategy to validate the entire software stack for unmanned systems (VTOL, unmanned ground vehicle).
  • Understand the architecture, functionality, interfaces, and operational behavior of unmanned systems.
  • Evaluate and develop AI-powered testing solutions to automate test implementation and improve efficiency.
  • Create new end-to-end integration tests and optimize existing test cases.
  • Proactively expand test coverage to identify system limits.
  • Develop an automated test framework for continuous test suite extension.
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, robustness, and end-to-end system tests in SIL, HIL, and real-system environments.
  • Collaborate with software, systems, hardware, simulation, and flight-test teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or comparable qualification (e.g., ISTQB certification).
  • 3+ years of experience in system/software testing or a similar role.
  • Experience analyzing system/software requirements and deriving traceable verification artifacts using requirements management tools.
  • Strong understanding of complex system architectures and experience executing/troubleshooting end-to-end tests.
  • Practical experience in building hardware/software-in-the-loop setups.
  • Proficiency in developing, optimizing, and maintaining automated test cases using Python or comparable language.
  • Hands-on experience with Robot test automation framework.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (ideally GitHub) and Docker; DO-178C experience is advantageous.
