Systems Engineer
A client is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead system integration planning and execution across the full product lifecycle, from early architecture through verification and design transfer. This role involves defining and managing the system integration strategy, including sequencing, interface definition, and risk mitigation. The successful candidate will support and maintain system architecture, interface definitions, and integration requirements across hardware and software domains. They will coordinate end-to-end integration activities across various components and partner with engineering teams to ensure clear requirements and timely issue resolution. This position requires strong communication skills to convey integration risks, technical tradeoffs, and system impacts to cross-functional teams and senior management.

Responsibilities
- Lead system integration planning and execution across the full product lifecycle.
- Define and manage the system integration strategy, including sequencing and interface definition.
- Support and maintain system architecture, interface definitions, and integration requirements.
- Coordinate end-to-end integration activities across embedded firmware, mechanical, mobile, and cloud services.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure requirements are clear, allocatable, and integrable.
- Support system-level verification and validation by ensuring integrated systems are test-ready.
- Communicate integration risks, technical tradeoffs, and system impacts, and lead technical reviews.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field with 5-6 years, or Master's with 4 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading system integration for complex products involving hardware and software.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, interface control, and multi-component system behavior.
- Experience working in regulated product development environments (medical devices preferred).
- Hands-on experience collaborating across hardware, software, and systems disciplines.
- Working knowledge of design control, configuration management, defect tracking, and change management processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting regulatory submissions for Class II/III medical devices.
